Chronicling the 3000 mile monarch butterfly migration between Canada to Mexico, the workshop provides a framework for children to see themselves as global citizens, connected to one another across borders. MISTER G will share the story of his journey to visit the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve in the mountains of Michoacán, and perform the song that inspired his bilingual picture book. Participants will learn about butterfly habitat and how to help protect the monarch’s fragile ecosystems.
