Through her concerts, compositions, and teaching methodology, Raquy has made a significant contribution toward elevating the darbuka from a humble folk drum to a shining solo instrument fit for a concert hall. Learn how to play the joyful Middle Eastern goblet drum from the beginning! Suitable for both total beginners and those who already play and want to reinforce the basics of modern Turkish techniques.

You are welcome to bring any darbuka with the rounded rim, but the Alexandria style dumbek is recommended.
