SOLD OUT
A lot has happened (operas, Shakespeare sonnets, a live recreation of a legendary Judy Garland concert, never mind 10 great pop albums) since 1998 when Rufus Wainwright did his residency at storied Los Angeles nightclub LARGO. His beloved first album earned him the title “Best New Artist” from Rolling Stone. A Rufus show is a breathtaking musical exhibition that has its fair share of hilarious moments and memorable anecdotes. Whether he’s displaying his more mature side or sharing the often brilliantly lusty and even bratty music from his younger days, he never loses his impish sense of humor, taste for lavish arrangements, and poignant, confessional lyrics that are a Wainwright family tradition.
