Hurricane Ida battered Louisiana last Sunday with an onslaught of harsh winds and floodwaters, leaving nearly a million people without power in New Orleans. It sent hundreds of thousands of people scrambling to evacuate, and left countless others bracing for survival, in an eerie echo of Hurricane Katrina, which made landfall in Louisiana 16 years ago to the day.
Our dear friend – Glen David Andrews, The Crown Prince of Treme – just happened to be touring in the Northeast when the hurricane hit, making it impossible for him and his fellow musicians to return home to the Crescent City. Join us for an unscheduled benefit concert to rally support for New Orleans culture bearers. Your donations will support the band and recovery efforts mobilized by Feed The Second Line
, a 501(c)3 organization that works directly with culture bearers to provide food assistance, shelter, and rebuilding services.
