DINOSAUR JR PLAYS THE DRAKE ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27TH

If you're a fan, you know Dinosaur Jr rarely appears in their hometown of Amherst, Massachusetts. There was that UMASS Spring Concert back in 1993 and the pop-up appearance on the common in 2017, but you'd have better luck spotting the guys in the grocery store than catching them with instruments in hand. So yeah, this is a big deal on several accounts.

The Drake is a long time coming. Now an urban legend, its namesake was a landmark watering hole for nearly half of a century- opening its doors as a hotel in 1938 and finally meeting its demise as a dive bar in the late 80’s. With the work of an extraordinarily talented team, the Drake has reincarnated as a non-profit world class concert hall that will welcome arts and culture from around the world, resuming its role as a landmark gathering place in the heart of downtown Amherst.

So it only makes sense to have Dinosaur Jr baptize this brand new stage, establishing the first of many memories that will permeate the room and linger in the minds and hearts of music lovers. Yes, it’s true — the room is small for Dino’s big footprint, but it’s the perfect place to warm up for their spring tour. That said, there will only be 200 tickets released to the public.

We want everyone to have an equal shot at getting tickets (and prevent scalpers from getting their claws into it), so we’re releasing tickets via lottery. If you really want to be part of this intimate crowd, fill out the form to throw your hat into the ring.

We will be drawing random names on Wednesday, April 20th and the winners will received an email with a unique link to purchase two tickets, which are priced at $40 each. If you don't buy your tickets by 7PM EST on Friday 4/22, the link will expire and we will offer unclaimed tickets to another random entrant. PLEASE NOTE: One entry per person. Tickets not transferable. Person who buys tickets must present ID matching purchase name at the door. Entering multiple times will not improve odds.
